Where Do We Go From Here?

Where do we go from here
    Why is the path unclear

Understand we'll go hand in hand
But we'll walk alone in fear
Tell me, where do we go from here?

    The D

Tenacious D absolutely went off in Auckland last night! Jack Black rocked, he is was hilarious!  The crowd loved him, but all the love in the room combined did not equal that felt by..well...me.  Surely his biggest fan north of the Brynderwyns. Such was the need to see 'The D' I even conquered a long standing phobia to get there. Yay me!!
The support band 'Crumb' were really good, (the bass player made very good eye candy...nice hair dude!).  Although the crowd were getting into ''Crumb's'' set it was amusing and kinda sad how it was only when the lead guitarist started singing acapella 'A Total Eclipse Of The Heart' that everybody truly came to life and started singing along. Then 8.30 rolled around and Crumb's set was finished...the moment was getting closer, but in true Rock style Jack made us wait, the anticpation was building, across the room a solitary voice  started to sing "FHG" and before long everyone was singing "...sometimes u got squeeze, sometimes you gotta say please, sometimes you gotta say HEY-Im gonna Fuck you..softly, Im gonna screw you gently, I gonna hump you sweetly..."   But still Jack made us wait...
There I stood, with my red hair and red top, in a sea of black t-shirts, eagerly awaiting JB's entrance. Not being a very tall person made it interesting at times.  At one point a rather good looking 6 foot-something guy decided in his infinite wisdom to plant himself right in front of me.  Now I didnt pay 70 bucks to stare at the back of some guys head.  So I politely tapped him on the shoulder, pointed out the height difference between us, admired his broad shoulders, told him how much I weigh and asked how long he reckoned he could carry me on them.........um,he got out of my way. lol.  Wise choice on his part Im sure.  Although my feet could have done with a rest....
Tenacious D rolled onto stage (quite literally) and launched into 'Kielbasa', followed by several other songs from their first album.  It was a great mix of old songs with the new. As a duo JB and KG are awesome, but with a band they were..well ELECTRIC! It was a fantastic night!!
I can't wait to see 'The Pick Of Destiny' when it is released at the movies later next month.
